About Us

Our Mission:

To instill a love of making and grow kids’ confidence.

Our Vision:

To grow a generation of makers, not just consumers, and let creativity flourish.

A class of children is busy with various stages of their sewing projects in the main sewing school classroom.

It all started in late 2023 at Miss Jessica’s dining room table, with a simple mission: bring hands-on, kid-focused sewing education back to life in our community.

While sewing classes for kids have been fading since the ’80s, the curiosity, creativity, and excitement kids bring to sewing is as strong as ever — and we’re here for it!

What began with just a few students quickly took off. Within a year, our classes were regularly selling out, and we had officially outgrown the dining room!

In June 2025, we proudly opened our brand-new sewing studio in Kennewick. With space for up to eight young creators at a time, we’ve expanded our class offerings and welcomed more kids into the world of fabric, thread, and imagination.

And we’re just getting started! We plan to grow to 12 sewing stations, launch Sewing Birthday Parties, and continue inspiring the next generation of makers, stitch by stitch.

Come join the fun — let’s sew something amazing together!

Meet Miss Jessica

Jessica Beck is the creative heart behind Jessica’s Sewing School — and she knows firsthand the magic that sewing can spark in a child’s heart. Raised in a family of passionate makers, Jessica learned to sew from her mom, who learned from her grandma. By high school, she was making her own clothes and giving her room one-of-a-kind, vintage flair.

Fast forward 20 years, and Miss Jessica is now a mom herself. She’s a dedicated homeschooler, a community volunteer, and a constant encourager of young minds. Her love for sewing and creating has never faded — and launching Jessica’s Sewing School felt like the perfect next stitch in her story.

At the heart of it all, Miss Jessica cherishes the opportunity to connect with kids, nurture their creativity, and celebrate each child just as they are. Whether it’s their first stitch or their fiftieth, she’s honored to be part of their sewing journey.
