Beginner’s Workshops –
Youth Start Here!
All new students begin with a Beginner’s Workshop. This stand-alone, two-hour class introduces the basics of using a sewing machine, and each student completes a small take-home project. All materials are included.
Youth Sewing School Sessions
After completing a Beginner’s Workshop, students are ready to join a Sewing School Session. Each session runs for six weeks, with six sessions offered throughout the school year. Classes are 75 minutes long and are offered at various times during the week.
Our curriculum is divided into four levels, each designed to take about a year of continuous classes to complete. Students begin at Level 1, Unit 1 and progress at their own pace. Most students complete one unit per six-week session.
Classes are not grouped by level—students may enroll in any class time that fits their schedule. In each class, every student works on the projects that are right for their current level and unit.
Because the program is self-paced, students can take breaks whenever needed—if they skip a session for another activity, they simply pick up where they left off when they return. With four full levels of curriculum, students can sew for up to four years without ever repeating a project!
All materials for our regular Sewing School Classes are provided, and students are welcome to use a Sewing School machine or bring their own from home. Students will also need a personal Sewing Toolkit, which can be purchased from us or assembled with items you may already have. A complete toolkit list is provided upon registration.
Adult Beginner’s Workshop –

In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine, practice essential skills, and complete a simple project you can take home. More importantly, you’ll gain the clarity and confidence you need to move forward—whether that means tackling your own projects or joining our ongoing classes.
